If we are goimg to be judging players against Payet, who at the time was the third best player in the world IMO and player of the Euro tournament that summer, we are going to be very dissapointed for a very long time.
Players like that do not come round often and even less so to a club like ours.
We all enjoyed it but we need to move on.
I think there is more to come from the little Algerian and he will be a solid player for us. He is one of the few in our team with a little bit of flair and is a step up to what we have had more recently like Feghouli

No idea where the Benrahma = Payet nonsense came from. Probably from some plonker who’d watched five minutes of Benrahma Championship highlights.
After first been ludicrously overrated by people who’d never seen him play, I think he’s now a little underrated.

Moyes slowly introducing Bowen to the pl has got to be the biggest myth ever. He was benched for the first 2 games in because it was against Lpool and Man City. After that he was a regular starter and never subbed of before 80th min..

Benrahma can keep improving but don’t think it’s useful judging him against Payet
To me Yarmolenko, Lanzini , Diop & Fredericks are on the list to shift in the summer.
But only if they are replaced by players who fit what Moyes wants.

It's a Moyes thing, just as he did with Bowen.
Lamzini and Yarmolenko are the ones who are dragging us down

Payet immediately had control of the ball and knew how make space for himself, Benrahma does neither well at the moment but there's glimpses of a good little player in there.

Both Payet and Benrahma like to do technical stuff with the ball in and around forward positions. That’s where any comparisons should end at this stage.

Not seeing much of the old Lanzini who used to be on the move all the time and could pickup the ball and had a turn off pace to get at defences. Whether he has lost that or is being asked to play a different role I'm not sure but nowhere near effective enough.
Benrahma flatters to deceive. He has good feet and a bit of vision but he needs to build his strength and improve his decision making. He sometimes tries passes or flicks that just give possession away cheaply or tries to dribble into a whole load of players. Needs time to adapt to the league but he isn't a Payet.

Some people were building Benrahma up asif he was our new Payet. I think he has found it hard but is definitely improving.

Talk to Palace fans and they rate Eze but he has been shit in some game where they have been dominated and often disappears from games.
Benny is doing ok, he has shown some real class, the pass for our goal vrs Burnley for example and his work rate is far higher than i thought it would be, he puts a shift in. I think he could work out.
